Beverley Glick

My career as a journalist, writer and editor has been flourishing for more than 30 years now, but all the while spirituality, psychology and personal development have played an important part in my life.

Three years ago, I began training as a human potential coach with Dr Mark Atkinson, founder of the Academy of Human Potential, and launched my coaching practice for women – The Pearl Within – in 2011.

Since then, I have integrated my storytelling skills with my experience as a heart-centred, presence-based coach, and this has resulted in my new role as a story archaeologist. I help clients dig for the pearl within their life stories, whether for business or personal development purposes, and partner with them to create healthy, nourishing narratives.

I am currently working with coaching clients on a one-to-one basis and also writing and editing travel features for the The Daily Telegraph while completing my training as a Breath4Life™ Breath Work practitioner.

Visit www.pearlwithin.co.uk for more information about what I offer as a human potential coach.

The outreach project I am running as part of my Breath4Life™ Breath Work practitioner training is Voyage of Rediscovery – a healing journey for women. This is a committed, closed group, which will embark on a six-month transformational process on one Saturday a month, starting on March 23, 2013, with mentoring support between sessions.

Using a combination of Breath4Life™ Breath Work therapy, NLP and coaching tools I will be facilitating the group with supervisory support from experienced Breath4Life™ Breath Work practitioner and group leader Jill Pay.

Embarking on a journey with the same women each month allows an atmosphere of trust, intimacy and safety to evolve in which we are able to support and nurture each other on our paths to healing.

For more information, go to the outreach projects page at www.acorntoak.org.uk

I would also like to run a Breath4Life™ Breath Work outreach project with the community at Inspired Entrepreneur (www.inspired-entrepreneur.com), created by Nick Williams and Niki Hignett. I recently gave a short talk to the community about how Breath4Life™ Breath Work changed my life, and a number of members have asked if I might be able to tell them more or enable them to try Breath4Life™ Breath Work at the venue used for community meetings, the International Students House near Great Portland Street, London W1. Nick Williams has some knowledge of breath work so I can approach him to investigate the possibility.

Also, last year I was one of a group of seven speakers who gave a talk to a group of teenagers at Shooters Hill Post-16 Campus, a school in south London. I have access to the teacher who organised the event, and may be able to contact him regarding setting up an outreach project within the school. The students, who are ethnically diverse, are studying both academic and vocational subjects. Many of them are the first generation in their families to have gone into further education and often lack support at home, so could benefit from Breath4Life™ Breath Work.
